Royal Canin Ambassador Event 2021
On November 18th, we persuaded 25 of our Nutritional Ambassadors to get out of the clinic and out of their scrubs to spend the evening with us in the Urban Bar and Kitchen in JLT.
We kicked off with some games to test their nutritional, general and celebrity knowledge- always with festive prizes! Drinks were flowing and food arrived continuously to keep energy levels up to tackle some of the more demanding quiz rounds.
We were celebrating the success of the Ambassador programme, a course launched in 2021.
The course is designed to take our nursing and reception teams through the Principles of Canine and Feline Nutrition, arriving at the options for feeding with specific benefits when dealing with gastrointestinal, dermatological and renal disease and to provide our teams with the tools to run weight management clinics. All our Ambassadors received their badges on completion of the course which counts for 8 hours of CPD. The final course for 2021 runs from the 30th November and next year, we will launch the second series for further nutritional training!
This will be the first of many more events to bring our veterinary colleagues from all over the country together- with the challenges facing the profession over the last two years, the opportunity to relax and reflect in such good company is precious indeed!
