CPD – December 2017
“The Future is Today” – a Royal Canin CPD event on Genetic Health Analysis (GHA) took place on the 7th of December 2017 at The Westin Hotel, Al Habtoor City – Dubai. This event attracted over 110 participants comprising of Veterinarians, Vet Nurses and Practice Managers from UAE and other Gulf countries.
Attendees participated in a 3-hour conference focused on Genetic Health Analysis presented by Dr. Cindy Cole (DVM, PhD, DACVCP), General Manager of Wisdom Health, a genetics business within Mars Petcare. Along with Dr. Cindy Cole, we also had presenters Dr. Thierry Rambaud, Global Sales & Marketing Veterinary, Individualization Director at Royal Canin; Ms. Katja Jauni, Chief Operation Officer at Genoscoper Laboratories; Mr. Yannick Soulard, New Business Development Director at Royal Canin and Dr. Stephanie Romyn, Scientic Sales Adviros at Saint Vincent Group.
Royal Canin’s GHA program provides insight into the future of veterinary medicine with a focus on Genetic Health Analysis, a ground breaking technology to scan dogs’ DNA, both for ancestry information and specific genetic markers. Veterinarian can then use this information to create a custom health and wellness plan based on the dog’s genetic code.
